SHOW SYNOPSIS:
This is a story about having the passion and courage to follow your dreams—even if the dream is kind of dumb and really uncomfortable for most people around.
When Ricky “the Cat” Casio began his career he was just a young artist with a single ambition: to make the joys and sorrows of daily life radiate with vivid brilliance through the power of his key-tar. Ricky is an ace at writing personal soundtracks. If you’re happy, he can make you ecstatic. If you’re sad, he can make you writhe on the floor in self-loathing.
But the life of a personal soundtrack composer isn’t always easy. Try fulfilling a dying woman’s final request of hearing the “Airwolf” theme song just one last time. Try dealing with a father who disapproves of the personal soundtrack profession, seeing his son’s work as a petty luxury. To top it all off, a bizarre twist of fate hurtles “the Cat” through a series of unlikely scenarios involving the United States government, nuclear-armed Russia, and the end of the world as we know it.
Will Ricky find the right beats to navigate the treacherous waters of international diplomacy and make it back in time to compose a dramatic break-up jingle?
