Inspired by the work of Tony Schwartz, I Am Saying This Right Now is part memoir, part fiction, part borrowed, and part original - a mix tape of memories, scenes, and sound art that explores the human compulsion to document our lives and our world. Created by a group of local artists, the play follows a group of characters as they grapple with the mysteries of memory and loss, the objects we imbue with love and nostalgia, the fear of forgetting or being forgotten, the passage from childhood to adulthood, and how the past both haunts and enriches the present.
